PBC Gallery Dark-bellied Brent Goose Branta bernicla bernicla, Nene Washes, 9 May 2002 Pictures by Steve Dudley

Typical of late season records this is a single adult bird of the Dark-bellied race bernicla. It was near the eastern end of the central drove. There are an average of 8 records per year in Cambridgeshire with the latest on 29 June 1991. It is a rare migrant in the PBC area with most records from Nene Washes and Ferry Meadows.
