PBC Gallery Waxwings Bombycilla garrulus, Crown Lakes CP, 10 January 2003 Pictures by Steve Dudley |
Part of a countrywide influx. A great find by Howard Butler at an underwatched area that at the same time held Woodcock, Hen Harrier, Merlin, Short-eared Owl and a flock of Pink-footed Geese flying over. Unfortunately the Waxwings stayed just the one day but clearly this area is worthy of more regular visits from local birders.
