Maximum counts of Little Grebes were: 18 at Beeby's BP on 23 Jul and 16 at CEGB reservoir on 6 Aug (GW). Four broods were found at Pumphouse Pit on 28 Jul (GW). Great Crested Grebes bred at Pumphouse Pit and a brood of four were seen there on 28 Jul (GW). An adult with three juveniles were at Dog-in-a-Doublet on 22 Aug (CM).

Two Bar-headed Geese were at Hampton Lakes on 6 Aug (GW). Three Shelduck (1 adult, 2 juveniles) were at High Wash on 18 Jul (BS), 6 were at Nene Washes on 12 Aug (SD) and 10 there on 17 Aug (CM). Ten Gadwall were at Orton BP on 13 Aug (GW). A maximum of 155 Mallard were at CEGB reservoir on 6 Aug (GW) and a flock of 200 were feeding on wheat stubble at Pinnard's Spinneys on 13 Aug (GW). A Garganey was at Dog-in-a-Doublet on 30 Jul (MH, DP), four were at Nene Washes on 7 Aug and two juveniles were there on 12 Aug (SD). A maximum of 323 Tufted Ducks were counted at Orton BP on 6 Aug (GW). A male Ruddy Duck was at CEGB reservoir on 21 Jul with two on 13 Aug (GW) and a male was at Pumphouse Pit on 28 Jul (GW).

A Honey Buzzard flew north-west at Dog-in-a-Doublet on 30 Jul (MH, DP). A Red Kite was seen at Elton on 26 Jul (BS), another at Orton Waterville on 11th and 12 Aug (PS) and three (1 adult, 2 juv) were at King's Cliffe on 18 Aug (CM). Marsh Harriers were seen at High Wash, Dog-in-a-Doublet, Nene Washes, Bassenhally Pit, Bassenhally Moor and Eldernell, with a maximum of eight at Eldernell on 11 Aug (GRH). Sparrowhawks were seen at Eldernell, Pinnard's Spinneys, Fletton, Elton and Kings Dyke NR. A Common Buzzard was at Wittering on 20 Aug (GRH). Kestrels bred at Crown Lakes CP, a female with 2 juvs were there on 4 Aug (GW). Kestrels were also seen at Hampton Lakes, Orton BP, Drysides Pit, Funtham's BP, and High Wash. A male Merlin was at Dog-in-a-Doublet on 30 Jul (MH, DP) and a female at Nene Washes on 7 Aug. Hobbys were seen at: Drysides Pit on 23 Jul (GW), Baston/Langtoft GP on 29 Jul (TW), Dog-in-a-Doublet on 30 Jul (MH, DP), Elton on 4 Aug (BS), Eldernell on 5 Aug (GRH) and 19 Aug (DB), Stanground on 6th and 7 Aug (GW), Nene Washes on 12 Aug (SD), Werrington Parkway on 16 Aug (TW) and over South Bank at Nene Washes on 22 Aug (CM). A Red-tailed Hawk (probably an escape) with no jesses was at Baston Pits on 26 Jul (AB).

A Water Rail was calling at Drysides Pit on 23 Jul (GW), one at Nene Washes on 29 Jul (MW) and at Eldernell on 15 Aug (GRH).

One Little Ringed Plover was at Dog-in-a-Doublet on 20 Jul (BS), seven on 26 Jul, six on 27 Jul (BS), one on 30 Jul (MH, DP) and five there on 1 Aug (MF). One at Hampton Lakes on 13 Aug (GW). Eight Ringed Plovers were on the High Wash on 18 Jul (BS), 17 on 20 Jul, 15 on 22 Jul and one on 27 Jul (BS). Three were at Welland Bank Pits on 30 Jul and two at Baston/Langtoft GP on 30 Jul (TW). At Hampton Lakes, two on 6 Aug (GW) and one on 13 Aug (AF, GW). A Golden Plover was at Hampton Lakes on 6 Aug (GW). A maximum count of 383 Lapwings was made at the High Wash on 20 Jul (BS) and 400 at CEGB reservoir on 6 Aug (GW). Four Dunlin were at High Wash on 18 Jul, two on 20 Jul, one on 22 Jul, and two again on 1 Aug (BS). Six on the Nene Washes on 29 Jul (MW), nine on 3rd and 7 Aug (CM), and two on 12 Aug (SD). Away from the Nene Washes, one at Welland Bank Pits on 30 Jul (TW) and three at Hampton Lakes on 6 Aug (GW). Nine Ruff were at High Wash on 18 Jul and on 20 Jul (BS). Three were at Nene Washes on 21 Jul (RA), 9 on 29 Jul (MW), three on 4 Aug (CM), 14 on 7 Aug, four on 12 Aug (SD) and one on 17 Aug (CM). Twenty Ruff were at the Dog-in-a-Doublet on 30 Jul (MH, DP) and two there on 1 Aug (MF) and 8 Aug (BS). A Black-tailed Godwit was at Nene Washes on 29 Jul (MW) and 17 Aug (CM), and three were at the Dog-in-a-Doublet on 1 Aug (MF). A Whimbrel flew south over the Nene Washes on 29 Jul (MW). Seven Redshank were at the High Wash on 18 Jul, two on 20 Jul and one on 1 Aug (BS). Four at Nene Washes on 29 Jul (MW) and one on 5 Aug (CM). Nine at the Dog-in-a-Doublet on 23 Jul (GRH) and one on 1 Aug (MF). A Redshank was at Ferry Meadows on 25 and 26 Jul (MW), three on 6 and 7 Aug, and two on 8 Aug (TS). A Greenshank was at High Wash on 20 Jul and two on 1 Aug (BS). One at Nene Washes on 22 Jul (RA, BS), three on 29 Jul (MW) and 6 Aug (CM), two on 7 Aug, three on 12 Aug (SD) and one on 17 Aug (CM). One at the Dog-in-a-Doublet on 23 Jul (GRH), eight on 30 Jul (MH, DP), one on 1 Aug (MF), and two on 8 Aug (BS). One at Eldernell on 13 Aug (GRH). Three were at Baston/Langtoft GP on 29 Jul, four on 30 Jul, one on 2 Aug and one on 14 Aug (TW). Two were at Welland Bank Pits on 30 Jul (TW). One was at Hampton Lakes on 6th and 13 Aug (GW). One was on the scrape at Ferry Meadows on 16th and 18 Aug (GW). Green Sandpipers were present at Ferry Meadows scrape from 21 Jul until 8 Aug with a maximum of four on 16 Aug (DB, MW TS, GW). Two were at Nene Washes on 1 Aug (BS), one at Dog-in-a-Doublet on 30 Jul (MH, DP) with two on 1 Aug (MF). Ten were at Baston/Langtoft GP on 29 Jul, 17 on 30 Jul and four on 14 Aug (TW). Three were at Drysides Pit on 29 Jul (GW), two at Stowe Scrape on 30 Jul (TW), six at Welland Bank Pits on 30 Jul (TW), one at Funtham's BP on 13 Aug (GW), and three at Yaxley Fen on 13th and 14 Aug (AF). One Wood Sandpiper was at High Wash on 22 Jul (BS), one at Dog-in-a-Doublet on 25 Jul, 30 Jul (MH, DP), and 1 Aug (MF). One on the RSPB reserve at Nene Washes on 10 Aug (GW) and one at Baston/Langtoft GP on 29 Jul, 30 Jul and 2 Aug (TW). Two Common Sandpipers were at CEGB reservoir on 21st and 28 Jul with one on 2 Aug (GW). One was at Orton BP on 23 Jul (GW) and 13 Aug (AF). Three were at Hampton Lakes on 23 Jul, two on 6 Aug (GW) and one on 13 Aug (AF). Two were at Ferry Meadows on 25 Jul (MW) and one on 28 Jul (DB). Three were at Baston/Langtoft GP on 29 Jul, four on 30 Jul and one on 2 Aug (TW). Three were at Welland Bank Pits on 30 Jul (TW) and one on 15 Aug (BS). One at Dog-in-a-Doublet on 27 Jul (BS) and 12 on 1 Aug (MF). One was at Funtham's BP on 13 Aug (GW).

A Little Gull was seen flying downstream at Welland High Bank on 24 Jul (RT). 48 Common Gulls and 21 Lesser Black-backed Gulls were at CEGB reservoir on 6 Aug (GW). A Great Black-backed Gull was seem at the Boundary, Market Deeping on 21 Aug. (JW). Two Little Terns were seen flying east along the river at the Dog-in-a-Doublet on 1 Aug (MF).

A Rose-ringed Parakeet (probably an escape) flew over Orton Longueville on 8 Aug (SD). A Barn Owl was at Etton on 14 Jul (RA) and one was hunting at Drysides Pit on 30 Jul (GW). A Little Owl was seen at Marholm on 12 Jul (RA) and one at Newborough on the same day (DB). Two or three Long-eared Owls were heard calling from the Decoy at Eldernell on 14 Aug (GRH).

Kingfishers were seen at: CEGB reservoir on 28 Jul, Drysides Pit on 29 Jul with two on 30th and an adult with two juveniles on 5 Aug, one at Stanground Lock on 30 Jul (GW), one at Welland Bank Pits and another at Baston/Langtoft GP on 30 Jul (TW), and one at # Orton BP on 6th and 13 Aug (GW). Approximately 250 Hirundines were at Eldernell on 16th and 19Aug (GRH).

A Grey Wagtail flew over the market at Peterborough on 25 Jul (BS). A White Wagtail was at Newborough on 12 Jul (DB). A Redstart was seen at Nene Park on 19 Aug (MR). A Wheatear was at Yaxley Fen on 14 Aug (AF). Twelve Mistle Thrushs were seen at Ferry Meadows on 21 Jul (GRH). A Grasshopper Warbler seen singing were at Beeby's BP on 23 Jul (GW), another at Ferry Meadows on 28 Jul and Willow Drove on 9 Aug (DB). A Spotted Flycatcher was at Stanley Park on 20th and 28 Jul (BS), at Castor Hanglands on 21 Jul (RA), in a garden at Elton on 12 Aug (BS) and at Old Rectory Market Deeping on 18 Aug (DW). A Jay was at Jone's Covert on 6 Aug (GW). Four Tree Sparrow were seen at Eldernell on 12 Aug (GRH). At least nine singing male Yellowhammers were at Helpston in late July (RA). A singing Corn Bunting was at Helpston on 12th and 14 Jul (RA) and two were at Newborough on 4 Aug (DB).
