2003	Rare passage and winter migrant. Just two records, one in each of the first and second winter periods. The first was from Woodwalton Fen NNR on 1 Feb (DR) and 9 Feb (MW); the latter on 25 Oct at Tanholt GP (SPD).
2002	Rare passage and winter migrant. An excellent year for this jewel of a bird, with three or four seen. One was at Woodwalton Fen NNR on 28 Sep (RMP) and another or the same was singing there on 19 Oct (MH, DP, JL), and a single was at Ferry Meadows CP on 21 Oct (MJW). There was a single winter record of a female at Aversley Wood 8 Dec (KW).
2001	Rare passage and winter migrant. Two of these delightful, tiny birds were recorded during the year – one at Monk's Wood NNR 24 Sep (RBr) and a female, visiting a North Bretton garden adjacent to Mucklands Wood, on 7 Dec and 15 Dec (CD).
