2003
Scarce passage migrant.
Single birds were on the Nene Washes on 15-16 Apr (RSPB). Two were at Tallington GP on 25 Apr (SL) with a further two at Prior's Fen GP on 26 Apr (MW). A single bird was present on Hampton North Lake on 3 May (MW).

2002
Scarce passage migrant.
The majority of records during 2002 came from the Nene Washes. A single bird was present between 25-27 Apr (RSPB). Up to two were present from 2-11 May with five on 9 May (BHS). A single bird was also present on 14-15 May (SPD, BHS).
The only records away from the
Nene Washes were of a single bird at King's Dyke NR on 8 May (GW) and a further single bird at Deeping Lakes NR on 18 May (WB). Towards the end of the year, a single bird was present at the Nene Washes on 2 Nov (CK).

2001
Scarce passage migrant.
One on the Nene Washes 23–24 Apr with two there 16 May (RSPB) were the only records.

2000
Scarce migrant.
The first, a summer-plumaged adult, was at Prior's Fen GP 27-28 Apr (DP).
At the Nene Washes, two flew east on 1 May, with two more on 2 May (adult summer and adult winter), two east on 3 May and a single on 5 May. One was at Lynch Lake, Ferry Meadows CP, on 3 May (DG, RH).
1999
No records.

1998
Rare migrant.
Nene Washes: singles were on Feldale on 16 Apr and on the reserve on 13 May.
