2003	Rare winter migrant. An second-winter bird was present on the Nene Washes between 8-15 Jan (JT) and at Dogsthorpe Star Pit NR on 21-22 Feb (SPD, MW). These are presumably the same bird present in 2002. A first-winter bird was at March Farmers on 20 Mar (JT).
2002	Rare winter migrant. A very early record of a second-winter bird was noted at Fletton BP on 17 Oct (SPD, MW) and presumably the same bird was noted at Dogsthorpe Tip on 10 Nov (JT) and Prior’s Fen GP on 8 Dec (SPD).
2001	Rare winter migrant. A first-winter bird first seen on the RSPB Nene Washes reserve on 15 Jan (JT) was at Dogsthorpe Tip and Star Pit NR from 17-19 Jan (BHS et al). Last seen at Orton BP on 21st (GW). Image © Brian Stone. Click for a bigger version.
