2000	Rare migrant. There were four records for the year. A 'ringtail' (female/immature) was seen circling slowly west at Deeping High Bank on 27 Apr (DP), then adult males flew west through Ferry Meadows CP on 7 May (GW) and West Deeping on 14th (MC, BT et al). The last was at the Nene Washes 23 Jul (WB).
1999	Rare migrant. An adult male was seen in the Nene Washes area 23-26 Jun. The same or another male was observed carrying a prey item 23 Jul and noted again 6 Aug near the Nene Washes. One was at Woodwalton Fen NNR on 26 Apr (CBR). In the autumn, a female was noted 4 Sep (GRH), with 1-2 ringtails seen 5-6 Sep (GRH) and 8 Sep in the March Farmers area.
