2003	Scarce passage migrant. All records came during autumn migration, with singles at Prior’s Fen GP on 11 Aug (KD, KAF, SPD, MW), 14 Aug (BHS) and 16 Aug (MW). A single was at the Nene Washes on 21 Sep (RSPB). Image © Steve Dudley. Click for a larger version.
2002	Scarce passage migrant. Only one record during the spring period, a single bird at Baston & Langtoft GP on 10 May (TW). In the autumn period, two birds were at Prior’s Fen GP on 5 Oct (SPD) with one bird being seen sporadically until 2 Nov (SPD, BHS). A single bird was at the Nene Washes on 28 Oct (RSPB) and again on the Nene Washes/March Farmers on 19 Nov (RSPB, JT). On 10 Dec a calling bird flew over Deeping Lakes NR (WB). Image © Steve Dudley. 2001	Scarce passage migrant. In spring, all records came from the Nene Washes with singles recorded on the 3rd, 13th, 14th and 16 May (RSPB) and one at March Farmers on 14 Jun (MW). No records during return passage. An unseasonal record involved a single bird at Baston Fen NR 11-29 Dec (SK, JR, KH).
2000	Scarce migrant. The Nene Washes recorded two 24-27 Mar. Singles were seen there 1-9 Apr, with three at March Farmers on 10th. In May, two were seen on 3rd, one on 5th and 12th-14th. Singles were seen at Baston & Langtoft GP 22 Jul, 3 Sep and again 9 Sep.
1999	Scarce migrant. In spring, singles were noted on the Nene Washes 21 Mar, 3 Apr and 6 Apr. A peak count of six on 6 May was noteworthy. In autumn, singles were seen on 18 Jul and 25 Sep. The only record away from the washes was a juvenile at Baston & Langtoft GP 12 Aug (TW).
1998	Scarce migrant. One was at Dog-in-a-Doublet on 18 Jul (BHS). Nene Washes: Single birds were noted from 31 Mar-2 Apr and from 4-16 Jul, with two on 15 Aug.
