2003
Scarce passage migrant.
Two birds recorded at Deeping Lakes NR on 20 May (MW, WB). Single birds were present at Prior’s Fen GP on 21 May (BHS), 27 May (KD) and 7 Jun (MW).

2002

All but one record of this species during 2002 came within an 11-day period in May. The first was a single adult bird present on the Nene Washes on 6 May (JT) and again on 7 May (BHS), when it was with a Ringed Plover and Dunlin. A different bird was there on 10 May (BHS).
At least two were present on the
Nene Washes between 13-18 Mar (MO). The 14 May saw a small influx with four birds present at Fletton BP (BHS) with a different bird present there on 15 May (SPD).
A single bird was also present at
Prior’s Fen GP on 18 May (GW). The sole autumn record was of a single juvenile at Maxey GP on 17 Sep (BHS). Image © Brian Stone. Click for a bigger version.


2001
Scarce passage migrant.
The first (in summer plumage) was noted at
Deeping Lakes NR 19 May (MW et al), with another there 25 May (TW) and a single on the Nene Washes 5 Jun (RSPB).

2000
Rare migrant.
The first was at the
Nene Washes on 18 Apr (JO). A light passage was noted in early May, with two summer-plumaged birds at Ferry Meadows CP 3 May (DG), an adult summer bird at the Nene Washes (DP), two there on 5 May, and an adult summer at Hampton Lakes 6 May (DP). There were no autumn records.
1999
Rare migrant.
Two records: one at
Ferry Meadows CP 1 Jun (RD) and one at Baston & Langtoft GP 25 Jul (TW et al).
