Single juveniles were recorded at Prior’s Fen GP on 20 Aug (BHS) - pictured left - 2 Sep (KD) and 12 Sep (BHS).

2002
Rare passage migrant.
The only records were of a single bird in summer plumage at the Nene Washes on 23 May (RSPB) and a single bird at Prior’s Fen GP on 19 Oct (SPD). .
2001
Rare passage migrant.
The only spring record was of two on the Nene Washes 8 Jun (RSPB).
Return passage was noted at Prior’s Fen GP with juveniles there 31 Aug (SPD), 15 Sep (SPD) and 1 Oct (SPD, BHS) with one on the
Nene Washes 28 Oct (RSPB).

2000
Rare migrant.
A winter-plumaged bird was at the
Nene Washes (JO, DP) and a summer-plumaged bird was at Eldernell 28 Apr (DP). Two summer-plumaged birds were on the Nene Washes RSPB reserve 26 May.
Only one record on return passage, of three birds flying east over Fletton BP on 27 Aug (GW).

1999
Rare migrant.
One was at the
Nene Washes 25 Aug (GRH, MW), with another there on 2 Sep (MW).

1998
Rare migrant.
Three birds were at Baston & Langtoft GP on 13 Sep (TW).
