2001	Rare passage migrant. Formerly considered a vagrant, but long considered a possible recoloniser from the Netherlands, wandering immatures are almost annual to the Nene Washes, so one 12 May-13 Jun was not unusual (MO). Two adults on 5 Jun was encouraging, with one also present 9-13 Aug  (JT, RSPB, MM, OM). All were highly mobile and regularly fed elsewhere, probably accounting for one over Werrington on 20 May (JT).
2000	Scarce passage migrant. Two were present on the Nene Washes 4-13 Jun (CK et al), except the 6th, when they relocated briefly to Northamptonshire. A single bird was at Deeping Lakes NR on 17 Jul (BT), with an adult on the Nene Washes on 26 Jul.
