2003
Common resident breeder.
A very common, widespread resident and ubiquitous garden visitor. The peak count was 40 in a roving flock at Woodwalton Fen NNR on 9 Feb (MW) and a large number was among 50 Blue and Great Tits going to roost at Aversley Wood on 6 Jan (KWo).

2002
Common resident breeder.
Counts of 10 or more birds were reported from the following locations: 10 at Ferry Meadows CP on 7 Aug (BHS), 11 at Morborne Hill on 28 Sep (SPD), 30 at Woodwalton Fen NNR on 13 Oct (MM, OM) and 11 at
Aversley Wood on 22 Nov (KW). At Ferry Meadows CP, an amazing 59 Blue Tits were caught and ringed on 22 Jul (CHu, KAF).

2001
Common resident breeder.
This widespread, common and familiar species is rarely recorded. Peak counts of eight birds from the following sites: Peterborough Cemetery 15 Jan (BHS),
Morborne Hill 10 Sep and 21 Sep (BHS), Ferry Meadows CP 2 Nov (BHS) and Elton 31 Dec (BHS).

2000
Common resident.
Widespread, with records coming only from the winter period
. Notable counts included 20 at Bainton GP on 16 Jan and 20 in a Longthorpe garden on 31 Dec.

1999
Common resident.
Well-distributed, though very few records.


1998
Common resident.
Widespread.
Nene Washes: Two pairs bred at Eldernell Pits. Also bred at Ring's End and Lord's Holt. Groups of up to 11 wintered in the counter drain. Regular on reserve in suitable areas, especially in the autumn.
